Among all season’s monsoon is my favourite, as our country has a lot of beautiful places which are worth visiting in the monsoons. I like trekking and traveling to new and unexplored places with less crowd and recently I visited a few places where I found the most important thing which is hard to find these days, that is peace and privacy. All these places which are listed in the article are located in the holy city of Nashik and are the best options to be considered for hiking in the monsoons.
1) Pahine - There is a beautiful waterfall located on the way to Trimbakeshwar in Pahine Village. It is around 35 kms from the Central Bus Stand of Nashik, where there are frequent buses available throughout the day for Trimbakeshwar. The route includes a walk around a mile from the main road till the waterfall. You will enjoy this route as you simply must follow the water stream back to its origin, you have to walk over the rocks along the stream and in the end, you will get to see this beautiful waterfall.
2) Dehergad Fort - Deheregad Fort is a must visit if you like hiking. It is around 20 kms from the Panchavati Bus Stand, Nashik from where there are buses available for the route, but it is not recommended to travel with a public transport, as this place is remote, and buses don't usually run till that point. You can go on a bike or a car. There is a shed where you can park your vehicle by paying some amount to the owner of the shed to take care of your vehicle. The trek to this mountain is amazing and at the end you can see some beautiful rock carvings and a temple.
3) Kavnai Fort - Kavnai Fort is located near Igatpuri around 45 kms from Central Bus Stand of Nashik. Again, Kavnai Fort being a remote destination it is recommended to visit here with a private vehicle. The trek to this fort is very short but exciting. At the end of this trek, you will find a temple and pond on top of the mountain. In the pond there are many fishes, make sure you carry some food to feed them. And the view from this mountain is simply beyond imagination. You can't compare one place with another. All places are unique in their own terms, and you will have different experiences, but you will surely enjoy the trek.
There are many places to visit and enjoy in Nashik but these are few remote places which are not known to many people and you can have the waterfall and mountain for yourself like a private booking if you visit early in the morning. You can let me know if you need any more information about places to visit in Nashik and feel free to comment on this post if you have any questions and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
